I was so surprise upon knowing that there is a Davao Occidental, when I leaved the Philippines last June 2012, its only 4 provinces namely Davao Oriental, del Sur, del Norte and Compostela Valley and now the newest province Davao Occidental. Davao Occidental (Tagalog: Kanlurang Dabaw) is 81st and newest province in the Philippines located in the Davao Region in Mindanao Its capital is the municipality of Malita.
